Connect

  1. Install Hermes if needed.
  2. Download a compatible model in Magnitude.
  3. Open Connections → Hermes and click Connect.
  4. Open or restart Hermes and choose your Magnitude model.
Magnitude adds a custom provider named magnitude. You can select a model explicitly with the CLI example below before restarting Hermes.

Select a model from the terminal

To configure the connection and select a specific downloaded model, first find its exact ID:
Replace MODEL_ID with the ID from the first command, not the friendly display name. Restart the agent after changing its configuration.

Configuration

Default configuration files:
  • ~/.hermes/config.yaml
On Windows, ~ means your user profile directory. Supported location overrides: HERMES_HOME. The paths displayed in Connections show which files Magnitude is actually checking.

Repair or disconnect

If Connections shows Connection needs repair, click Repair connection. To stop using the integration, click Disconnect, then restart the agent. Terminal equivalents:
