# Overview

> Use Magnitude models with your agent.

Download a model in Magnitude, then open **Connections** to configure your agent. Magnitude supports Pi, OpenCode, Hermes, OpenClaw, Codex, Claude Code, Oh My Pi, and Cline.

## Connect an agent

1. Install the agent using its official instructions.
2. Find it in **Connections** and click **Connect**.
3. Open or restart the agent and choose a Magnitude model.

Connecting configures the agent; it does not launch it. Keep Magnitude running while you use its local models.

## Connection states

| State                       | What to do                                                                                   |
| --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Not installed               | Follow the installation link, install the agent, and return to Connections.                  |
| Not connected               | Click Connect.                                                                               |
| Connected                   | Open the agent and select a Magnitude model.                                                 |
| Connection needs repair     | Click Repair connection, then reload the agent.                                              |
| Could not verify connection | Check the reported problem, such as an inaccessible configuration file, before trying again. |

Connected means the configuration is present and valid. It does not mean a model is currently loaded or that an inference request has succeeded.

## Refresh or disconnect

Use **Reconnect** to refresh a connected agent's Magnitude configuration. Use **Disconnect** to remove the Magnitude connection. Restart the agent if it still has the old settings loaded.

The connected card lists its configuration files. Prefer the app's actions over deleting the agent's configuration: those files may also contain unrelated settings.
